More than 2,000 "Googlers" from Europe and the US are attending the two-day event in the Brehon Hotel, Killarney, the largest such gathering across Europe.
As well as bringing valuable off-season business to Killarney, the conference is seen by tourism bosses as an international showcase for Ireland.
Fáilte Ireland chief executive Shaun Quinn said it was an endorsement of Ireland as a location for international conferences.
About 2,500 staff from Google's operations around Europe, the Middle East and Africa descended on the Co Kerry town yesterday morning for an internal sales conference that will end on Wednesday morning.
GOOGLE Ireland has paid tribute to the people of Killarney for the welcome extended by the town to the company's representatives who attended a major event in the Kerry tourism capital.
